    Exactly, it doesn't just drop out of nowhere, The person has done something or performed to a standard to "earn" this bonus.

    Laughable though. USX in shippensburg has a full parking lot of brand new cascadias of which they have to pay for.

    in response to vito, I would do an initial consultation with PA dept of labor and file a dispute. They can not neglect the dept of labor. I've done it before and response time was >2 weeks

    Yes, they tax "fuel bonus" the same as they tax a gratuitous "Christmas bonus" Because the IRS says they have to. What's your point?

    by IRS tax code bonus are taxable..... so tell me how they are doing wrong by taxing them.....?

    Huh? Maybe you misunderstood my point or I was not clear with my point.

    My point was just because a pay item is taxable, does not mean the the employer is REQUIRED to PAY said pay item if the employer has chosen to quit prior to it's payment.
