Hi New Friends
I'm breaking into this crazy driving world, born a farm girl, sucked into Corp America and now I'm starting over again. Here is my question: My man has been in Trucking for about 15 years and paid his dues. He has experience as a trainer. We want to find a company who will let me come on board and he trains me for OTR. I have my CDL and I'm ready to step into this life or at least give it my best. He has spoken to Quest and they have a program to accommodate but I'm wondering if there are other's out there. I love this forum and I'm looking forward to being a participating member. Thank you in advance for your knowledge and assistance.![]()

Most companies require the trainer to have some seat time with them before they cut them loose to train. If quest will accommodate your needs...go for it.

Quest is picky; no parking at casinos.
Which state do you live in?
Did you graduate from cdl school? -
Abilene Motor Express
Freymiller
Decker Truck Line - reefer division
Pride Transport
Navajo Express
There's more depending on the state you live in.Last edited: Jan 15, 2016

Yes I graduated from a private school. I live in AZ and no parking at casino's isn't a problem. I did see the info posted on here about Quest, but having an option and plan B is always wise. Thanks for the help

Pride trucks are set up nice with ammenities for driver comfort.
All the companies on that list have top notch equipment.
A couple of husband/wife teams quit Quest after a short period of time due to micro-management.TigerShark Thanks this. -
Do you know if they have a program where he can train me? That's really the main issue ?

Yes, he probably should go ahead and start first to learn their procedures then you follow. That's what some husband/wife teams do.
Call the companies and ask how long you would have to wait.
Your husband is experienced so he doesn't need a training period; just long enough to learn the companies procedures.
Husband/wife teams are in demand, so they will get you in the truck ASAP.Last edited: Jan 16, 2016
Cjayn Thanks this. -
Look over the websites of those companies and then make some phone calls.
