What up??

I keep hearing that if you Lease and do not team that you will not make any money and go broke especially during the winter when freight slows
-
Could be true. I just had a 1200 dollar settlement followed by a 71 dollar settlement. You got to look at it as a monthly or quarterly average. Freight is down, but you should not sit more than an evening. Fixed cost are right around 1700 bucks a week.

So here's a question for ya. Does your home area have any intermodal facilities?
I have been an O/O pulling intermodal for over 6 years and the truck/business is putting $158,00 +/-
in the bank almost every year. Of course, it beats the crap out of the truck, but we average about $ 3,500/wk
gross. Not braggin'! Just sayin'. OH, and I'm home every night/wkddarthanubis Thanks this. -
I had my best week this week $2100 settlement.next week will be less at termial getting stuff done to truck. Worst week was $101 dollar. Week after thanksgiving, but was home part of the week.
darthanubis Thanks this. -
Is that with all expenses taken out?
Fixed and Variable? -
I ran OTR on two separate occasions and hated it after the thrill of seeing America was gone.
Bought a $ 27,000 truck and put it to work pulling containers within a 400 mile radius of KC.
Truck has been paid off for almost a year and a half and I am still leased on to the same carrier.darthanubis and blairandgretchen Thank this. -
Yep it was.

Do you know how many miles you ran that week?
