they were going to break JJ in right and send him to leesport his first trip out but he got diverted to Richmond with that load and grabbed a late beer load back to linwood.
he's on his was to the frozen north and Baraboo now
i'm stuck at kimpberly clark in Mcdonugh waiting for a live load. I've heard stories about this place from other drivers. they didn't disappoint lol 45 minutes to wait for the girl at the window ignoring 6 of us while she ate her bojangles, wiped down every square inch of counter space in the office, shuffled and filed a novel's worth of paper and then decided it might be time to do her job and check us in.
hour and a half in the door now and nothing happening yet. -

@flyingmusician That place looks way better than the previous one. Appreciate the directions and pics.
flyingmusician Thanks this. -
it isn't as flat as it looks. that road up the hill to the trailer lot is about a 9%+ for a good 5-600ft. the lot is higher than the roof of the building and our spots in the back are also uphill so you back/unhook/hook uphill.
i'll reserve judgement on it until I get over there when it's snowy/icy or otherwise slick and/or has rained for a day or so straight but they may have just traded one problem for another.....but space won't be an issue. if they don't maintain that hill when it's below freezing and wet it's going to be an issue
don't know if you guys got it or not but Kelly sent a message today saying "it's come to our attention some of you are having trouble finding the new Knoxville drop lot using your gps........."
all the cool kids hanging out here already have the info about the restricted route and the right way in lolbulldog66, ASHLEYDRIVER2013 and classic_150 Thank this. -

Ugh that's gotta suck
Rule #2 - know thy route before you go lol also known as don't trust your gps.
Been tutoring JJ on a trip by trip helping him learn this rule well. He's used to getting hand holding customer directions at the previous company so it's a whole new ballgame for him but he did well his first week out. First time I've heard him say in a long time that he was worn out by the end of the week lol
I'm leaving in another couple hours. Got to do an overnight to Atlanta for a 5am then gonna work the 8 split on the Backhaul to New Albany to have the schedule off nights and back on days by tomorrow night when I get to ecru after the 2.
I'll be back on a good schedule by the time the cube farm girls walk into the building Monday morning.ASHLEYDRIVER2013 Thanks this. -

Google Earth and a good coach is a Good thing to have in your pocket and to get to know--and net-work, net-work and net-work with other drivers--LOL Can save a lot of head-aches--LOL
Just incase u didn't know-they have hired 4 dispatchers for Advance, in Advance, yup I said Advance, they will be up stairs. They will be in the phone loop--so--one time when you call in u may be talking to them, and the next time it could be Arcadia. They have plans for a supervisor for them in the near future--I knew that was bound to happen--just makes sense--give it back to the regional thing--
Also they are doubling the size, finally of the Brandon warehouse, They are also going to put in the paved trailer area, so in about a year we should be moving back over there, they are building on every square inch of ground there, do not know if there is going to be any grass showing when its done---LOL
I am sure those folks in those new condo homes are going to be thrilled when that's all done--LOL
I'll try and post a few pictures:Last edited: Jan 17, 2016
