Good question and I hope someone can answer. I have a 2015 cascadia and NOTHING I have tried can keep this thing going.

Guess I am one lucky swift driver. I drive a 14 IH prostar. It allows me to idle as long as I want to. QC says intertrip idle and intertrip idle violation but that is all. But I do get those annoying message saying I am one of the higher idlers, too bad when it's -10 outside and my stupid bunk heater shuts down after one hour, I am not waking up every hour to idle it then wake up to turn off again

While not the best way; have you tried releasing the tractor brake while leaving the trl brake on?
O.Henry Thanks this. -
These trucks will turnoff no matter what, even in traffic jam if you are stopped too long and temp is out of range, have to bump gas pedal/brake/eng cutoff bypass switch etc to keep running. The setting on mine is 15-70 degrees it's a true pita. If yours has the temp sensor on rear frame and you park next to a truck with exhaust dump on right side of truck or APU unit blowing warm air it can fool sensor on your truck, I have done this since sensor is on left rear of frame line her up with their exhaust and you can idle while they are there or not so just a tip.

It looks like a light bulb plug/socket on mine near the inner frame by rear left drive tire, might have a plastic zipper band around it to secure. Could have one in front too, YouTube shows where they are. So when it gets cold but not cold enough and you have to sit due to no freight or bad weather you are screwed! The bunk heater with 4 fresh batteries will last 12-14 hours at most running the heater alone not your tv/laptops included, even less the colder it gets. I have a routine of sitting up front mashing the shutdown bypass switch while looking at cell phone for an hour or so to get a good charge again. We shouldn't have to put up with this bs.

Does it also shut off when the brake is pressed in continuously?

Last night, it got below 30 where I am so after several restarts and hitting the gas, it finally remained on.
