Thinking about Con-way Trucking, because they have a facility close to home. Is it a good company to drive for?

I believe XPO recently acquired Conway so what you do find on them may be subject to substantial changes.
Depending on how the companies merge anyway.

That's about all I know but something to keep in mind when doing your research.

Which One? Truckload or Freight? I've had experience with both...

    No Not really.

Is that a double negative or an actual statement? You decide.

Planners over at truckload are garbage.

Considering their recent acquisition by XPO, Truckload is probably a bad idea. They have received numerous offers to sell Truckload, so it could be run by Swift or Werner before you know it. C-W Freight has many worried drivers because of the XPO thing, but it is still a good, high-paying LTL job. Some people have used Con-way to get LTL experience and moved on. Find out which division and get back to us.

Do you want to hit the open road and see the country and all that romanticized ######## or do you want to hump boxes all day and retire to your cottage on the lake every weekend? If the latter, choose ltl (freight).

If you'd rather sleep in your toilet, choose truckload.

Bob Dobalina and CargoWahgo Thank this.
