I have been doing it since they first started back in 2010 I believe? Anyway I fill out the form and pay my fees but I don't get what it does. I know it is just another tax on us but what do they try to say it does? IFTA I understand what it does, MC number I understand, USDOT# I understand but the UCR just asks how many trucks and pay this much. They don't ask for any vins or unit numbers so I don't get what they are accomplishing. All that info is already on your MCS-150.
Can anyone tell me UCR actually does?

It is a way for each state that you are legal to run in to get a portion of the registration and heavy use tax that you are paying.

The short answer is just another 80 dollars they legally steal from us.
Supposedly they think of way to distribute IFTA and IRP monies, all this could be handled under ONE plan.
But think of all the extra government workers who would be without jobs?Bean Jr. Thanks this.
