The office people knew Joe was a loser. If Jane was candy, odds are they wouldn't have risked their candy with a loser.

    Joe was A Typical Bootysniffer.

Drive for very long and you will meet supertrucker Mack. Mack knows the law forward and backward and can give you legal opinions from divorce to politics. ( I have never understood why mack is not working as an attorney and not driving but what do I know.) , Mack has driven every truck made and has been in all 50 states. Mack knows all the shortcuts and uses 5 log books and with a wink will tell you how to do it as well. No matter the subject Mack has done it and will tell you how its done. Mack always knows more then you or anybody else how to get in and out of a dock. When you do meet mack the supertrucker you will know it in a minute.

Could be, could be. But what fool of a business owner is going to hook up your (fresh or not so fresh?) meat with the company looser? Like I said, that fool should be out of trucking.

Joe convinced Jane that it was a good idea. Jane, being a bit nervous thought it would be for the best.

I agree that this is a little bizarre. However, everyone has a first post at some point, so that doesn't necessarily mean that it's a troll. Let's just assume for now that it's a legitimate question from a new member that needs our help.

So Jane playing the poor innocent in all ways eh. 10 years driving and she cannot handle herself out there on the the open road? Why would you hook up someone like that with mr. bootysniffing looser. You going to be in business, especially trucking, you got to know there is disaster all over that situation!

2 sides. Notice how Joe has to drive so she can rest? Hes driving on her time because shes tired. Hes lost and wandering around the country side, where is Jane? If you ever ran team and you were unsure of the navigation, how do teams resolve this? Its an automatic thing that all drivers that ever ran team do. They are not trained to do this, but if you ever ran shotgun, and the person behind the wheel is unsure of his bearings, you would do this without asking.

The original post is told by Jane's POV. If Joe was telling the tale, how would it go?

Common sense would dictate that Joe is responsible for the damage Joe caused regardless of the log situation, especially since the company knows what happened. Joe just seems to be panicking and trying to shift the consequences for his actions onto Jane.
