Just got done at W & B in OKC. Turns out the problem was the belt. It was way too loose and wasn't allowing generator to produce the power needed to run the system. The belt is suppose to be really tight. Can't even push down on it.

Also, found out that the generator is rated for right around the 3000 watt range. If you are using the HVAC on high then the plugs are disabled because the system is using the full power of the generator to run the HVAC. This next one I never did, but apparently they get drivers that do this. Don't run your microwave and HVAC at the same time. It is very possible to overload the system; which would then require a trip to the shop to reset. The system has a 35amp breaker (i think or fuse?) and the combination of a microwave (or any other high load item) and the HVAC being on could exceed that 35amp. I know my 700watt microwave pulls 20amps by itself. He also had a driver try to run a microwave, toaster oven, XBOX w/ tv and HVAC all at the same time and was pissed off that the system couldn't handle it.

So, in the end, this whole thing could have been avoided if someone there in Sapulpa or the Carrier in Tulsa had actually taken the time to look at the APU instead of just resetting it. But it's fixed now and in the future will try to avoid having the APU work done from the Tulsa Carrier shop. So far, the two W&B shops I trust are the ones in Houston, Tx and OKC.

    Hey, look....600 pages.

Just got a message stating that a select number of fuel conscience drivers have been selected to test a new fuel routing program....and I'm one of the "lucky" ones.
It consist of 2 different programs: a fuel suggestion guide with # of gallons to buy & a suggested route to your pickup and delivery.
The suggested routing isn't that bad as my load from Waldron, AR to Tracy, CA is pretty straight forward.

Now the fuel guide. What a joke. 1st of all I would never fuel at the 2 locations it suggested unless it was a emergency. 1st stop is Sayre, OK with 106 gallons. What about Oklahoma City which is 16¢ cheaper? How about Anna,TX which is 33¢ cheaper?
Next recommendation is Barstow, CA. 178 gallons. Seriously? No, I mean it, freaking seriously? What about all the places in Arizona that are cheaper? How about going 50 miles to Boron (4 Corners) where it's a nickel less.
HOW ABOUT INSTEAD OF CRAMMING SUGGESTED FUEL STOPS THAT ONLY BENEFIT JCT (Pilot/Flying J), YOU LIST ALL EFS STOPS ALONG A ROUTE.
I'm pissed, thoroughly pissed about this. Instead of looking out to line your pockets with your huge rebates from Pilot/Flying J, you actually provide HELPFUL information that will help drivers maximize their profits.

I have decided that I will discontinue patronage of all Pilot and Flying J locations. I also notified the Texas Agri dept about the hot fuel.

I rarely use PFJ anymore. If I do, it is usually for reefer fuel. There are a few times where PFJ is the best price fuel you can get. Even if that system goes live; I would just ignore (delete the fuel routing) anyway. My previous company did that and kinda made me feel more of a company driver. I don't need any company telling me we would prefer it if stopped at these locations for fuel.

They probably see an opening to get more of a refund from IFTA because we drivers don't have to worry about it and fuel by the pump price, not the pump price minus taxes.

***This is funny....10 mintues after W&B closed at 1700, I get a message to pick up an empty from there and that they open at 0800. I'm thinking I was just there and if you would have called me while I was there, I could have gotten the trailer on my way out. Then another message comes. Its the preplan with a note that saying they will adjust the pickup time since I can't the trailer til 0800. Then I thought, I could have made the original pick up time if I would have known to get that trailer on my way out of W&B. I just respond with "Ok. Will do."***

Well, I just got off the phone with JCT b1tching about all this. Apparently a whole bunch of changes are supposed to happen on Monday.

Nothing set in stone yet, but the P/FJ rebate is going to increase. We will no longer be able to fuel the reefers at Loves or any where else for that matter, other than PFJ. Details to follow.

I don't care if I have to fuel the reefers at only PFJ. It's their equipment and pay for the fuel on it and if they want me to only fuel their equipment at whatever place, then I will comply.

A discount better than 8 cents would be nice, but I'm not holding my breath on that one.

I'm not at liberty to say more other than it will be.
It's JCT's answer to Love's bonus 10 points, I'm sure. JCT probably got upset at their rebate check they get from PFJ. LOL.

As long as my card is still good everywhere else I'll be more than happy to fuel their trailer where ever they want.

Not me, that's bullsht. If I fuel up someplace why should I have to make another dedicated stop to get them 15 gallons and burn MY time for them to collect some chicknsht $0.20-30 a gallon at pfj. Not gonna happen.

I hate those types of games and is precisely why I intentionally never fuel at pfj. For jct to collect maybe $0.30 a gallon and piss down $0.08 to me is disgraceful.

Yes, that rubs me the wrong way. Guess we'll have to wait till Monday and see if jct does the right thing. I sure hope so
