Try doing a year at a large carrier then you can find something at a small company that requires experience.

(Schneider, Celadon, one of the starter mega companies--after you paid your dues for a year or two your options will open right up. Also Chinatown can probably give you some great info. Stalk him until he spills.)

 

what was the felony? I see a lot of megas saying felonies will be examined on a case to case basis.

 

Chinatown recommended a couple of carriers to someone else in this forum a few weeks ago where the guy had a 9 year old weapons charge. One of the carriers was Western Express and the guy got an offer from them within a few days of applying.

Take a shotgun approach to sending out applications and something will stick.

 

What about trucking is so enticing to scum and criminals?

Trucking gets a lot of the "well I have failed at everything else.... I guess I'll be a truck driver" types.. lots of people never consider this a job..
