I finally have my own authority

Wow...what a bunch of work!!! and that BOC-3 form!!!! that's a bunch of crap!! I have been approached by EVERY "Tom ,Dick, and Harry" to file that for me!!! One company(I wont mention) wanted $69.00 for first year and $39.00 for each subsequent year to file it (they have to be government approved) all this to file a piece of paper with my MC# ...DOT# company name , address, date and Phone # ...all this info they already have!!! BTW OOIDA will file it for free and it only needs to be filed one time!... Yesterday I was told a 2290 form had to be prepaid (true) and I couldn't register my truck with out it (not true) anyway that is paid as well. Now tonite I'm made aware of a " Unified Carrier Registration" tax that must be paid.. I'm seeing $187.00 plus an additional $100.00 for an "emergency processing fee" Is that the real deal or can I get it cheaper elseware. Also is there something I'm over looking?
