    I'll answer
I'm no longer with QC, Was company driver and I would never spend the night at a chemical plant, Every year theres a few of these places exploding or releasing chemicals into the air. My goal was to get in and out of these places asap.
Just being around these plants can't be good for your health, so doing my 10 at a plant never happened for me

I have taken a 10 at a customer 5 times with qc never with Schneider. The 5 times were for a reason 1 was a paper mill and i got there at midnight they were closed had to deliver at 8am. 3 of the times were at a chemical plant getting loaded but i was actually parked in their empty lot across the street cause they had me drop trailer while they loaded. The 5th and last time was again getting loaded from 8am to 6pm the whole time cause their pump kept breaking.

Just an update - I had 3 days of hands on training this week, and met a bunch of drivers; 0/0 and company drivers. The first day we loaded the big tanker from little totes with a pump. The totes came via rail car from over seas - Hopefully Trump will bring that back to the USA. I did two of those and that was pretty cool.

Days 2 and 3 repeated. We air unloaded waste water - nothing hazardous. We did 5 unloads total. Now I wait for my truck to be ready. Which we are hoping to start running on Friday. She is still at the body shop, and we all know we ain't going to hurry a body shop.

What I really liked this week was meeting so many drivers - from company to Lease Purchase. Some leasing with DB Kustom trucks and some from the affiliates. I found out the affiliates will lease purchase trucks they own, so that's cool. Plus talking to everyone; the guys that all work for a living love QC. The ones who don't seem to like working for a living find simple stuff to complain about. Personally, I know I'm not going to change a gazillion dollar corporation. I do know I enjoy working for a living, so I'll be fine.

This is going to be fun and I am looking forward to it. I'll keep you updated. Until then keep it real.

It's all over the place and seems to be up to each driver. Some guys like staying out a couple weeks then taking a long weekend, others get home weekly, and some a couple times a week. No one argues with any one over it is what I am finding out.

RIX and Firespock, You guys are killing me! Once I get my tax return I'm a freaking ghost (as far as Navajo is concerned). I think I'm going to try to get "Fade to Black" from DB's so I can have that CAT and it's warranty.

Please keep updating the thread, I think the DB Kustoms L/P is the one I would try, (if I ever do) and tanker seems to be the way I would go if I go back out OTR....(seems you get a premium over flatbed)....
