So we are opposed to driver facing cameras because we are afraid of getting caught with a lot lizard? The size of the trucks, the speed and the cameras dont skeeer you because you have done your research? Well Your research is extremely flawed.
Your post number #27 had me rolling in the floor.
So back on point so you dont tell me to leave. You want us to decide for you whether or not to wait for Swift to call you back or wait until April 21st for Night? -
Anything with 15mph over is a big deal in trucking and will keep you from getting hired. Most of the mega's are self-insured and will not touch you. Add a domestic violence to that ticket and no Mega will want to train you when you have to team with another driver for 6 weeks.
Smaller companies will have insurance companies underwriting their operation. Very few to no insurance companies will take on a driver with a 15mph over violation and no experience.
I am just saying you are in a tough place, and I would not wait for anyone to get back with you; it ain't going to happen with a lot of places. Keep trying to find other avenues. -
Do you tell the car salesman your going to buy the car anyway so he better just tell the truth?Toomanybikes and Mudguppy Thank this. -

Don't be afraid of Swift. They're harsh but pay and miles are fair. If you want someone to hold your hand and pat your fanny when you do something good, don't be a truck driver. If Swift says they'll put you in a truck, just say yes. I had a tough start and worked for Swift for 13 months before I left. It wasn't that bad, but it was not a Kumbaya company. Tough, big, every man for himself. But look at it this way - it wasn't them who got busted at 25 over. They're privately insured, might make a difference.

I don't have my cdl at all.
But this was my second ticket in five years, my last one was literally 1 mph over. Stupid camera traps. But this one was 25 over but I do not have a charge for it, they just had me pay the fine or go to school, couldn't fight it. The cop had front and back radar.
But even though everybody on here is saying that I now have a reckless driving ticket, well I called the court and they are not charging me with anything so no I don't have a reckless driving report on my background.
