Compound turbo setups?? Anyone done one??

My 550 twin boosts at 58 psi and pulls the same as my 550 6nz that was posting at 40 psi. Cancelling those ivad sounds like a #### good idea

I am so going there some day! Notre Dame du Nord? I've seen some youtube videos of the parties they throw there and it almost looks like Sturgis but with trucks instead of bikes.

 

Almost, the bracket for the bottom turbo has to be redesigned for the e-model blocks. They don't have the bolt holes in the block like the 6nz' or newer. But they do work well neverless. The one I had made 70 lb of boost compared to my single that only does 45 lbs of boost. There is a boy in western ohio that is mounting them on e-model ' with a few other tweaks and they are performing very well.

 

If you have the 18.1 pistons it is not a good idea to back them off. It is not if but when your head gasket fails, and it will!

 

Bingo! That is one reason I prefer a single. A little sluggish until I get her wound up, but then get out of the way because I'm coming around! LOL

 

Like this one? This is a 2WS, but the shop doing it is between Dayton and Columbus so may not be the same shop.

 

That blue paint really stands out. If it performs half as good as it looks that thing would be a rocket for sure.
