Also we are taking back, the home Delivery Service, that's right, they have at least 10 new Ashley Box Trucks parked here, and will be taking back the Home Delivery service Here, to increase customer service, which I agree with. The third party contractor delivery service is going to be replaced with company owned and company employee delivery service to improve cust service--which I agree with 100%. Nice to see that--I hope it goe's 100% company wide--Nice to see this change--I am behind it 100%. I think it is the right direction--

Well had a great first week put but the second week starting was a little crazy i took a trailer to the rail yard and as soon as i was almost pulled out from under it the weld on the landing gear broke on the right side luckily i caught it in time before it hit the ground that took about 5 hours to get welded back together the welder said it looked like the last one who welded it needed to go back to school because it wasn't done right but at least it happened there and not on the road that could've been bad

finished up the numbers for January
miles for the month came in at 12, 740 which is up 4% from last year.
46 loads, avg length of haul 325.8 at an average weight of 17, 090
4 live loads at an avg of 2.75hrs on dock but that was bumped way up by one I had to sit 5 hrs for.
just turned over 100k on the truck last week. only took 8 months to get there.
been noticing some tweaking on the lanes last couple weeks. if we run out to ecru or up to arcadia we aren't running their area all week the way we used to. it's in and out now and back to advance and staying in closer than we used to but staying busy running out of there.
son is getting a divorce after being married 8 years and needs a car so i'm giving him my car.......so I went out and got a new toy last week. been looking for 2 months for a newer truck since I sold the old dodge. not having bought a vehicle in 20 years to say I got sticker shock would be an understatement lol most of the trucks we were looking at not even a few years old were well over 150-200k miles and they wanted a ####ing house payment for them even with a good down payment. I knew if I was picky and didn't jump on the 'great deals' the salesmen were pushing on the imports i'd find something. patience and persistence paid off and I found a good deal on an '11 dodge 2500 with only 70k on the clock. waiting until the last weekend of the month helped a lot too when they were desperate to move units and get inventory off the lot. talked him down 3k from what they were asking and got a payment I could live with.
I really wanted a diesel but had to compromise and get the 5.7 hemi. the diesels are still way overpriced by about 10k to what they're worth because that's what everybody wants. still didn't do too bad though for the price.
Pintlehook, ASHLEYDRIVER2013 and mxpx148 Thank this. -
Your 4 legged "kids" should like having the extra room on their weekend rides for treats.

Big boy wasn't quite sure what to think of the big truck. once he figured out how to get in and out of it he quickly claimed his new spot high above the other cars.
Grace looked at how high she had to jump to get in it and said screw that and went back in the house lol
Haven't taken the other 2 yet but the not so small anymore puppy is almost big enough to step right in it without jumping.
Gonna get some running boards/steps for it. The little shorty wife will need them as much as the dogs. Being the good WV hillbilly chick she is she's already plotting to keep the truck and have me drive her car to the yard and back.ASHLEYDRIVER2013 and classic_150 Thank this.
