If you are a O/O there shouldn't be a escrow as you own the truck and trailer and provide for your own maintenance. If they try to say it's for load claims that's what insurance is for. If your a Lease Op then the escrow should be with a 3rd party and not with them, as well as if they collect your money from the broker then pass it to you, then they should have a settlement escrow up to 80% of your monthly settlement with you as the beneficiary.
I'm getting tired of large company's taking advantage of the little guy.

I guess you're brand new to trucking like within the last 1 to 3 minutes but you sign on to national trucking companies what absolutely no reference to where their home office is because you take the truck home with you when you do your home time Melton Truck Lines is in Tulsa Oklahoma I live in Tennessee Schneider Truck Lines is in Michigan and I live in Tennessee CR England is based in Salt Lake City Utah and I live in Tennessee it doesn't matter where the trucking company is based that's kind of a silly question and some of the lease is out there really aren't that bad of an idea it just depends on who you go through and what company decides how they're going to do it

I guess you don't understand how most of the small Chicago companies operate. Most of them do out and back type work. Meaning you load in Chicago go to California or the southeast and come back to the Chicago area. They don't have terminals across the country so you'll be coming back to base for truck service too. Living in Tennessee or Idaho would obviously be a problem.....

That's anywhere. Mgr is claiming to be a 48 state long haul otr. The Eastern Europe stuff is what freaks me out. The thicker and bustier the eyebrows the scarier the truck and CSA score.

LOL. The megas bounce you around the country, they're usually not out and back. Are you in Chicago and looking for a job?

Thank you for the heads up. I strongly suspected they were Russian or similar.
I had my taste of Eastern European trucking in 2012 and 2013. Every settlement was an adventure!!
Crazy stuff! Like trailer charges with zero explanation as to why
or on what scale they were using not to mention that it was nowhere to be seen in the contract. How about $200 fines for logbook "inaccuracies" again not in the contract.
They basically ran roughshod over the contract and just about every promise they made was a lie. In fact the word 'lie' about sums up their entire ethic.
The driver was something to be used, a pawn to make those in the office money. Strongly suspect it was a setup to just bring friends in from EE. Somewhere to sponsor a greencard.
As soon as I hear an eastern European accent it is over. I will NEVER work with or for anybody from an eastern block country.

Currently looking for a new place to lease onto (I own my truck and trailer outright). Yesterday got a series of text messages followed by a phone call from RD Expedite. Of course I researched them both on the net, their website (very craigslistish) and naturally here.
Surprise, surprise they have 2 names!! MGR and RD. What a shock - not!

BTW I am also an immigrant of 32 years standing and originally come from England so none of those stupid allegations of "stereotyping".
If it walks, quacks and looks like a duck it is definitely a duck.
EE's are crooks and liars - period.

This is how I was led to my eastern delight experience. A friend passed on info from a truckstop encounter. Since then there have been several including Edmonton, Alberta. Won't go near them with a bargepole. They will say just about ANYTHING to encourage you to sign on.
"You can make $8,000 a week". That was a funny one. And on and on and on.
Just anybody reading this - an American or anyone who is a grateful honest immigrant - do yourself a favor and save a lot of time and heartache. STAY AWAY FROM RUSSIANS OR ANYBODY FROM EASTERN EUROPE.
