Its in the new driver forum so my guess is to benefit the new drivers.

#1 is wrong from the get go so that leads me to question the rest of the information : fmcsa only requires employers to get 10 years of work history if that work history is driving a CMV , most employers still want 10 years but it's not required especially for new drivers who are just getting their cdl they obviously dnot have any work history in a cmv

He should have added more info to #1.For anyone that has never drove I think they only are required to give 3 yrs work history.but otherwise it's ten.

I'm still not seeing it.he's talking about if you threaten your distlpatcher.no where does it say you'll get fired if you wanna go home.anyone who threatens by not taking loads or refusing deserves to get fired.

Thank you, BoazTrucker. Should be a sticky. Well-written advice from the real world. Better than "Lie about your background and education ... Buy a diploma online ... Don't ask don't tell ... You can break the rules (which you agree to abide by) right from the start ... If they have a no-dogs policy, take your dog along anyway, just don't tell ... It wasn't really an accident, so don't mention it ... This company (or that one) will hire you ... " All of it from people who never drove for the company (or sat behind a dispatcher's or fleet manager's desk there or anywhere else) that "will hire you," who have absolutely no say-so in hiring decisions, and who are willing to put up their "advice" based on one post from someone they don't even know. None of which which does the industry any good. Thanks again.

    BoazTrucker Thanks this.

yep, what he's saying is if you request hometime and not get your request on that day do not threaten your dispatcher and take it upon yourself to go home because that's when he will fire you.that's how I'm taking it anyway.

When I was new and started with Covenant they wanted 10 years of history but only verified 3 years . Mind you, my 10 year history went back to when I was 13 years old and I started working at 14 . They mostly cared about the last 3 years though and any gaps in employment during that period
