    If you have read posts prior and after, this issue is very hard to find. I cannot duplicate it in my office or driving. I am working with a driver here on TTR that did to respond to my need for help in tracking this down. We are seeing a pattern in his freezing and changing a few things seems to have cleared up the issue. Now how this is affected in Code we don't know.

    The "flash" I have not seen. I have driven at night and pressed buttons.

    Night Mode was not changed in way. If the brightness is having an issue it might be your screen that is going out.

    For those who are seeing the freezing

    I like to know what settings you have for the Skin Day/Night and what setting you have set for AutoZoom.

    For those seeing the slowdown. Give me a sequence of steps you do that you notice the slowdown.

    As I mentioned I don't see either on in my testing.

    I may have missed part of the post. But if you are addressing the lag/delay seen when pressing any button on the 730, such as inputting an address, going to settings, etc etc.

    Skin is default for both, autozoom is set to the zoom by distance, whatever one is the one that zooms in the closer you get, and further out the further away you are.

    There is no steps for it, literally just every input you make has a largely noticeable delay along with it, every single time. It makes inputting addresses quite irritating actually. And of course this issue manifested itself after the most recent software update.

    I'm home for a couple days if you need any logs/files/whatever I can pull them off my 730.

    And if the delay issue has been fixed already, and you are talking about some other issues, then just ignore me :)

    TND510 - no skin setting.
    Map skin - dark.
    Autozoom setting - street scale.
    Screen click on & off - no change.

    Freeze reboots happened when going into "Truck tools" & "Preferences" immediately after update, diagnostic, & unit reset; have not had a freeze reboot since.
    Since it had set preferances to default since update, autozoom was enabled by default so until I changed it after initial boot, it was running that-will try running with auto zoom enabled again.

    Slowdown is from boot to finish on every screen/input, especially address inputs - used to be as fast as could type, now 2-4sec delay on every press.

    I'm running a RM 720 with an update from abouta month ago. Not sure if that is the most recent, but I haven't been having any issues as described recently.

    Many of the drivers in our terminal are running the 760 fleet edition, updated last week. MANY problems with freezing. Yesterday my brother tried to boot it up and it only gets to the welcome screen. Tried unplugging it overnight, no change.

    My 730 is also running super slow when inputting letters and numbers to point that I don't wanna even bother and just use google maps. In addition my micro usb power port is finicky and I have to adjust the connector frequently to get it to charge. Also, I get the freezing/blank screen occasionally and have to unplug it and wait till it's ready to work again. And this unit is barely a year old. It works well for routing but it seems to be getting worse and worse in so many areas. Guess Ill just buy the cheapest one next time if they aren't gonna last very long

    Our safety department said the problem is old firmware, all units are getting replaced next week.

    The issues being looked at.

    Freezing - Hard freeze where the tapping on a screen it does not respond.

    Slow or delayed screens - long time for screens to respond.

    Navi.exe Application error - Will pop up and may go away after about 10 minutes, note unit will restart on its own.

    Unit constantly restarts - you will see the unit restarting. You may see this a few times and the unit will lock up.

    <<>>

    Restarting is a fail safe build into the code if the code senses no code activity.

    These issues may or may/not be related. I am working with a few drivers in testing to determine a cause or setting(s) that may be causing this.
