Stopped in Emporia, KS this am for my 10 (well more like 12). Headed to Sygma Ft. Worth for a 2200 apt tomorrow night. Matt doesn't have any short hauls to keep me moving AND get home on the 15th, so looks like I'm headed home early. Oh well, my wife has been working with her mom at Edible Arrangements (until she gets everything finalized on her vape shop) and they need extra drivers for the week for Valentine's Day. Guess I'll be inadvertently scaring the hell out people when they open their doors lol.

Just looked at my paycheck and I'm slated to make $750 a week -AGAIN- WITHOUT healthcare costs taken out. Either this changes, FAST, or I'm gone.

This is ########. 34s Every week or sometimes twice a week, a 2-day delivery where I made $160? RU KIDDING ME?

This stops, they pay me more, or I'm gone. Period, end of story. Pie in the Sky over what they "want" to do isn't paying my bills.

$750 a week with no state taxes is a ###### insult. This is the 4th week in a row. I've taken a whopping 4 days off since Dec. 4th.

The miles aint there. The layover is BS. ($75 a day? seriously? I would have been better off working at Mcdonalds. In MY state, an 8 hour day would have netted me $74 slinging burgers and I could go home every night and get PAID for filling out my time-card.

I;m close to being done here. I was promised 38 cents per mile and 2500+ miles per week. I'm lucky if I get HALF those miles. And then they have the moxie to tell me I get penalized after 4 months for having less than 10k per month? When they don't dispatch the miles to start with? And this affects my pay?

Sick of this. Tired of the lies. Tired of the ####ty paychecks.

    I could stay home and do as well. $14 an hour X 40 =560+ 10 at $21 $770.

In other words I could do a 10 hour a day job and be home every night and all weekend for MORE money than I'm making at Magnum. Ya, To Hell with that. LTI pays better than this and they suck.

    EDIT:
Talked to my mentor. He said wait another month. I will do so.

Sometimes it's just good to vent! My opinion is the economy is just slowing down. Even the Fed is thinking of holding off on another rate hike. Hopefully things will get better soon!

I know the first months are hard and I can imagine that for you it's even harder being from out West, I would hope Chad can come up with a way to keep you moving.

My first 7 months ranged from a high of 12,500 to a low of 8700 (of which 1,000 were breakdown and layover) so I've been there too. Milage has been picking up and I hope it does for you too because when I was on the $0.36 per mile pay life sucked and I am just starting to slowly crawl out.

Trucking especially OTR is hard, the pay is average until you get experience and then it's a game trying to find a good fit. And now with Swift/Central coming into reefer I'm sure rates will not be climbing anytime soon so that will pair more pressure on both pay and miles available.

I hope you can work things out or find somewhere that meets your needs, it sucks living having to put in time - I believe this is a good place to work, but not everyone is as successful getting consistent miles above 10K per month and for those who watch our thread, please keep in mind that there are months with 8500 to 9500 miles to go with those 11K and 12K months....

    Stay strong Jubal...

He is, sorta. Just in a seriously p/o'd mood and just waiting on getting his wife's leg fixed so he can decide whether or not to move on.

it's just frustrating. I worked my ### off doing flatbed, quit for a local job that laid me off the day before I was supposed to start because they lost their biggest customer. I have hazmat, tanker, doubles/triples a TWIC card and a passport and I'm working for slave wages.

I have NEVER been late for a load excepting weather or dispatch mistakes. No accidents, no tickets. But it's constant battle to get to 9k per month. I'll stick it out for another month, but that's it. I did NOT sign on for %750 per week.
