Not everyone prefers LTL... And how one gets paid doesn't really matter as long as at the end of the year one can look back and say "yup, it was worth it."

One would assume if the driver is asking about OTR then he might be interested in OTR... Same can be said if they are seeking LTL/Local jobs.

Well, first drop in Belvidere, IL.

I used to audit a company here... Thought about stopping in but no chance of getting this big rig into their parking lot... LOL

Still waiting to get my marching orders if I am to grab a trailer here or if I am free to leave the yard and find a shower.

My luck I get halfway to a P/FJ and get told to grab a trailer from here... {shrug}

So speaking of pre plans... Magnum has you preplaned a week out eh? Interesting concept.

 

That's the one thing that drove me nuts about Abilene......lack of pre planning loads. Magnum is set up on a regional dispatch system, once you get assigned a load you call the planner for the area your headed to, they usually give you a a choice of loads coming out of there area. Pretty simple concept really.

After two hours setting on the customers yard bobtailed, I get "grab an empty"... lol

Ok... Guess I am off to find a P/FJ.

Nah. Was going to eat in the restaurant, but waitress ignored me so I walked out.

 

Well that was an interesting experience!!!

First time driving in HIGH WINDS and to make it worse I am hauling an empty trailer.

Had a few gusts that really made me white knuckle it... Thinking there are a few more indentations when I released the wheel.

Then, two trucks are blown over on I39X99 blocking both lanes... Ok, I can take it as a sign.

Pulling off and waiting it out!!!
Supposed to be over by 6pm.

Thinking my heart is still racing... lol
