Greetings Mr. Ed and Poundpuppy. Ed is correct got the ole o/o bug. My truck is in the final stages of preparation to roll, possibly this week. There are a few oo's here Ken who got his truck on a month or two back. He and Chris were oo's here before. Both speak highly of the company as well. There's money to be made. I have been here almost 2 yrs as a company driver. They have treated me well and with the encouragement of Ken and Chris I'm putting my truck on here.
I will have to update you after a month or 2 on how it is going. I know Ken is doing well and I expect to do so as well.

Poundpuppy, I reread your post. I don't know anything about the van/reefer side of the oo. I flatbed. I would imagine they are just as productive if not more so since they have the whole Canadian thing going on. Good luck.
Pound Puppy Thanks this. -
Hello there Britton truckers. Wondering how everyone is doing as I am slated to be in Grand Forks next month then to Sioux Falls for flatbed training. Looking forward to meeting you guys and excited to begin my new career with what seems like a great company.
-
Looking forward to meeting you Peelsession. Hope you like it here at Britton, I have been here almost 2 yrs. Some have been here a lot longer. I enjoy working for the company. Flatbedding is a challenge but I wouldn't have it any other way.
-
Thanks Lost Navigator and that's precisely what I'm looking for...a challenge and an honest days work. Do you know who the flatbed trainers are? Is Mr Ed still there as a trainer?
I have no experience flat bedding and I'm new to trucking. Kassi tells me I may need to train for up to 9-12 weeks but being as it's "performance based" I could be done in 5-6 weeks. I expect no problems, I have no doubt I'll pick it up quick.
Do you know if they have their GI Bill Veteran's Benefits set up to use for OJT? -
I don't know about the OJT, however that would be a great asset to driver and company. Kassi may know.
Mr Ed is the only flatbed trainer that I'm aware of and as far as I know still training.Peelsession Thanks this. -
Hey everyone, You can call me Tjay. Military vet here used to drive reefers for May Trucking out of Layton Utah ended up quitting due to personal reasons. Been out of trucking for about a year now and miss it pretty bad, been looking at Britton and am wondering if any one knows if they hire out of Utah. Dry vans/reefers is no problem would also be interested in learning flatbeds. My wife is active duty Air Force and we are trying to get orders back to the midwest as she is close to retirement and that is why I have my eyes set on Britton, plus I hear they are a great company to drive for.
-
Hi Tjay. I'll be joining Britton soon. I'm not sure about your current location in Utah but recommend you give Kassi a call. She works out of the Grand Forks terminal and the number is on their website. Best of luck.
-
Hi peelsession. Yep, I am still here and am still the flatbed trainer. They had talked of getting another flatbed trainer, bit so far haven't that I'm aware of. So, when you come aboard, it'll be me you ride with.
Peelsession Thanks this. -
TJay, Peelsession is correct. Give Kassi a call 701 757 5560 or 800 437 5306
