Reckon I'm looking at a redeye kamikaze coffee guzzler run tonight. If I leave at like 0100-0200 I should be okay (gotta fuel in Thousand Palms). That means check in today 1530 and go off duty right away, park outside the gate on the dirt shoulder, and hit the bunk soonest. Bleagh. I'd rather leave as soon as they're done with me and overnight in Colton. Smarter. But no sure parking within a mile of the Wal-Mart DC there (off Riverside and Agua Mansa).

Dispatch is going to squawk about my available hours tomorrow but they should have looked at this asinine trip schedule. Seriously, who does that?

Checked at gate, of course they can't take me but I can check in 2 hours early. And there seems to be room outside the gate to sit for a few hours. At Petro now, then going to Wal-Mart (maybe) in a couple hours. Might come back here after unload if they're done quick enough--it's only a couple of pallets (rolls eyes).

Guy walks into the doctor's office with a duck on his head. Doctor says, "I bet I know what you want." The duck says, "Yeah, Doc, how much to get this dude off of my ###?"

Twenty-nine years ago today, I married my high school sweetheart at Northwood Temple Church in Fayetteville, NC. She is the brightest spot in my world, my heart, my conscience, my lover, my best friend, my knit wit, my greatest treasure. After almost three decades of monogamy, I can say with absolute certainty that I wouldn't trade The Hot Chick for anything or anybody. We promised to keep one another in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, for better or worse--and so far we've covered all of that, and we're still here.

I love you, Hot Chick. Life is a stormy sea. Take my hand and ride it with me!

Of course being the nosey Nellie that I am, I googled the church where you were married. All I can say is impressive. You could drop our whole congregation in there and hardly cause a ripple. Not to mention all the programs and ministries available.
