Really? I've got news for you Whipper, if you and I pull into the Freightliner dealership with the exact same problem; I'm paying cash, you're working off a warranty, I can PROMISE you, I'll be rolling before you are. To somehow justify paying $850-$1000 a week and make it sound like you got the better deal is absurd. Here's the deal, bub, I just put on a new set of steers.....$800. Guess what? Next week when you're making that $800 payment, I won't be.
Look, I'm not hatin' on the SNI finance thing, it worked for me and I encourage it. But to suggest that leasing a truck is better than owning a used truck is absolutely ignorant and defies any sort of business sense. Here's the raw numbers, Whipper......you're doing basically $900 a WEEK in payments......that's $46,800 a year. I could replace EVERY SINGLE NUT AND BOLT on this thing for less. Jeez.........

If you're only using one gallon in 10k miles, that's not bad. The way you wrote it, it looked like you were putting in 4 to 6 gallons between 12k mile changes.

    Dominick253 Thanks this.

I was using 4 to 6 gallons for years. Truck was running great , no real issues. The reason I got the inframe done. Coolant was in the oil.

You missed the point of what I saying... which is you could look at the new vs used debate in endless different ways. Sure a used paid off truck that's reliable is awesome and a money maker but whos to say it will be reliable and not cost you big time?
Theres drivers out here with paid off used trucks that put them in the poor house because it broke down all the time. That's the risk with a used truck and with a new truck like mine it's a lot of money. Not $900 a week, that includes the maintenence account but still a lot.
I know leasing through a mega carrier is not a good deal.. i think everybody knows that lol.
There is risk with new and with used trucks, that's all I'm saying. There is no one better way, everybody has a different operation, situatuon, wants and needs.
