$125 will getcha a year of internet broadband at IdleAirs.

I've used it a few times. You just gotta have your own cord or rent one every time.

    Not too many locations.
And the company has already went out of business/been resold once.

You pay $100/month for TMo lol.

I think most guys expect to spend much less than it costs.
Also, if you want decent service out west especially TMO isn't going to cut it anyway.

I tried there internet in laredo at the flying J. It was slow and laggie. It was actually worse wired in then it was over wifi and the wifi was bad. That might just be an issue with that location but to me it isn't a solution compared to my verizon account that works everywhere (Almost. Some random areas off the major routes in montana and utah). I have a habit of downloading games while driving down the road so it will be ready when I finish my day.

I used it in Laredo all the time at the company terminal worked pretty good.
Was just web browsing doing an article binge though.

Idk I haven't been otr in over a year now. Sad to hear a decent service is losing ###.

I was one of those that switched to sprint for a quarter of what Verizon costs with a company discount code. Its just as fast if not faster in the Midwest.

Might be an issue with backbone too. The J and the other truck stops are a little way out. I know Verizon is poor too. (Which i why I reset in the yard instead of the truck stop when I do a reset there.) Good to know that some times thats good as the idea behind idle air always interested me. Laredo is too warm during the summer for the EPU to keep up with

I didn't read all the responses but long time PC builder/gamer here! IMO it can't be done properly.....maybe 12 player games on a verizon jetpack. Buy my standards would require one seriously bad ### power hog laptop. I7 CPU with 8GB or more and 4GB of video memory. And a bad ### 17" gaming monitor....

I guess I would do it if I was over the road.

I got bored once and tested if you could live stream and it worked. Computer in my truck is a

    Shuttle Z77 with a 500w psu
    I5 3670k
    16GB ddr3
    1TB Msata SSD
    970gtx
    24in Visio TV

Inverter is responding thats taking 330w while gaming.
The key is having a pure sine inverter.

    Mattflat362 Thanks this.
