This thing is all right, just a little weak on the hills (the Volvo I had at Risinger would do roughly twice the speeds this will do under heavy loads on upgrades, but it had a 12 speed auto which helped).

    I've driven a lot worse.

CA and OR will take a bit of time (55mph). Washington will be a little better. I'm gonna get within 150 miles by Thursday night and cruise on in there Friday morning, no pushing necessary. It's actually kind of a milk run blown up by the rework. I'd have covered a nickel today if I hadn't gotten up so early.

    Speaking of which--good night, y'all.

I always love messing with sport fans. It's so easy. "So let me get this straight. You want to watch buff men in tights hit each other on the ### and wrastle around while playing with balls? How is that not gay?" Then they have to explain to me how good sports are while I'm sitting there smiling. Just a little payback for and the jocks who gave me #### while growing up.

I just figured that out this year. Just saying "I" instead of "you" is a huge difference. Instead of "You didn't get me home on time." I say "what can I do to prevent this in the future." While not trying to blame the other person. Sometimes I feel like the only truck driver who doesn't want to work 14 hours a day... But that's a whole other issue lol.

Preplan pulled (cancelled). This load stopped in Sacramento for relay. Got a message from dispatch demanding to know why I shut down last night with hours left. The same dispatcher with whom I worked out the load issues yesterday. He didn't tell anybody upstairs and they're yelling at him and he needs to "figure out something to tell them."

I just lost faith in my dispatcher.

"I shut down with hours left last night because I was tired, it's my log book and I'm in charge of being safe, so suck it Trebek"

    (Without the suck it part!)

Did they not think you'd make it by Friday? Help us understand why they pulled the load, it had to be more than just you shutting down with hours left on your clock. Wake up on a Wednesday morning 1,000 miles away from your delivery destination that's due Friday morning, that's easy. Something smells fishy here.

So he told you that he got the delivery rescheduled when he actually did nothing and told no one else about it? Wow......That is beyond the pale. I hope you have a q-comm record of the conversation.
