I'm driving 4.5 hours after I drop, stopping for 8 hours sleeper, getting up with the hours I didn't use. When that's done I have to take a full ten hours off. See, not that difficult.

If I "just take my 10" then I won't be able to do my pick up, if I split it, I can.

Here's something that will really confuse some people. If I take a 2 hour break after I get to my pick up, then I'll get back the hours I already worked, which will be less than my 11/14. At that point I'd rather take a full 10 and start with a full 11/14.

Sitting in North Little Rock after dropping a load at the local Sam's Club at 3am last night.
Got up after sleeping in a bit... No load... Ok... Did a few things in the cab... Dropped a QC msg that I was rested and ready to roll... Went to top off the fuel tanks and fill the DEF... Then stopped to get the truck washed at a Blue Beacon for the first time ... Looks pretty sharp now... Still no load on the QC... Parked at the local Petro to shine up the mirrors and headlights... Then headed in for lunch.
I sure hope I didn't take the day off and forgot.

You can ask 10 people in Richmond, and 10 drivers, and you'll get 20 different answers, hence the easy way out, just take a 10. Maybe if they sat down with a driver and explained it, it might help them every now and then, like it will for me tonight.

Problably did it wrong...
Was tired of just sitting in the parking lot of Sam's Club so I thought I would head to the local Truck Stop to get a few things done during my time waiting... So I went and filled up and got the truck washed... It's needed it for awhile now just never had a decent day to get it done without feeling like it would just get dirty again after leaving the Blue Beacon.
Now just waiting at the Iron Skillet.
