All local work we cover los Angeles and orange county mainly but do have runs in San Bernardino and the High Desert too. I work out of orange county most nights and average 4-5 loads per night. Uniforms and PPE are paid for but you are responsible for washing them.

Well pay rate is about dead even probably benefits too since they are the same union as us too. Only thing I could think of is if they restrict OT which we dont. Also if you ever want to work in management or for the refinery they are the better option
Miguel562 Thanks this. -
The best company of the two is whoever hires you. I think sentinel would be easier to get on with if you don't have fuel experience. I think the pace and "seriousness" of arco would be a bit much for a newbie. Sentinel seems WAY more laid back. I don't work for either company but I spend a lot of time at both of their terminals.

plant Thanks this.

Oh yea arco has padlocks on all their tanks. May not seem like a big deal but is sucks dealing with it on 3 tanks per delivery and 5 deliveries per day.

Yea it totally takes you out of your routine, I hate having to kneel down take my glove off and unlock the tank. #firstworldproblems but it does suck.
I think the most gravy job is hauling ethanol for Cox. 23hr top pay plus OT now to sit in line at Shell Carson all day. And you never have to throw a single hose.White_Knuckle_Newbie and Cali kid Thank this. -
