Well when you consider RoadWerner, I mean Roadmaster charges $7,000 for a 160 hour course nothing surprises me.

Here is a fact of life: You own everything you do and the choices that you make and the consequences good or bad. You own it. Live in denial and your life will suck on multiple levels.

You chose to go to that company and chose to go to their school. You chose to go trucking, it did not chose you. Nothing wrong with realizing it is not for you. Accept it and move on.

I used to be one of the BMW's in the world. (B***hers, moaners, and whiners).

all i can say is WOW. Around Boston there are only 2 schools. Parker charges 5k for the 160. NETTTS 11k for the 540. They have a 160 but are hesitant to give info or tell you that they do not run many of those courses. That is my experience with them.

Why go to school at all? Just rent a truck, practice, study, and go take the test. There's people who will rent you a truck and ride along to testing for $500/day. That's all you need if you practice on the test course.

Why not have the best of both worlds? If you do a little research you will find that quite a few colleges offer PELL eligible CDL training. For many, this would be free training without a carrier contract. They are not hard to find.

Some state, as like mine, Nevada, you can't use a rental truck and trailer to take road test, check your state before spending your hard earned money

Wish I knew? As long as your buddies truck is not a rental, then all should be good, think I read somewhere on this site that said their state allows it, check the state your in first on the rental
