I always start in third when I drive a standard trans car. No I really don't mean to.

If you can drive a motorcycle you can drive a manual shift car

Don't float in a car. It will mess up the synchro- even if it feels right it's bad for the car. Other other than that pretty much what the others said- you have to give it a little gas as you're letting the clutch out to get moving or you'll stall, clutch all the way in and out of one gear and right into the next in the same motion.
You'll like driving a manual car. It's a lot of fun, plus, it's the best theft deterrent system you can get. HaAModelCat and rabbiporkchop Thank this. -

Watch out for reverse. Every day I get out of my big truck and into my manual pick up truck, I put it into 1st thinking it's reverse!!!
GiantBeard Thanks this. -

Paying a fair price from a local dealer is probably cheaper in the long run. You have someone to deal with when problems occur. Getting a car shipped in can have disastrous results. Cars in pictures do not fairly represent the condition of the car. You need to see it in person. I used to haul cars and many times on an Ebay purchase or a dealer purchase from far away, the customer usually had issues.
