I always start in third when I drive a standard trans car. No I really don't mean to.

Don't float in a car. It will mess up the synchro- even if it feels right it's bad for the car. Other other than that pretty much what the others said- you have to give it a little gas as you're letting the clutch out to get moving or you'll stall, clutch all the way in and out of one gear and right into the next in the same motion.

You'll like driving a manual car. It's a lot of fun, plus, it's the best theft deterrent system you can get. Ha

One of those Mazda3 iSports. They look nice. I'm just afraid I won't fit in the driver seat. Too tall.

Watch out for reverse. Every day I get out of my big truck and into my manual pick up truck, I put it into 1st thinking it's reverse!!!

Would a car in texas have all the emissions requirements cali requires? Might want to check with cali dmv. A freind brought a car in from out of state and ca wouldnt let him register it.

This is the headache I just went through. I'm starting to seriously reconsider my state citizenship.

Paying a fair price from a local dealer is probably cheaper in the long run. You have someone to deal with when problems occur. Getting a car shipped in can have disastrous results. Cars in pictures do not fairly represent the condition of the car. You need to see it in person. I used to haul cars and many times on an Ebay purchase or a dealer purchase from far away, the customer usually had issues.
