I don't quite understand what you're asking. Are you saying Walmart has hired drivers from their dedicated partners? Or are you a dedicated driver asking if you should apply to the private fleet?

Yes, I am dedicated. I've been doing it for a year and half. Was wondering how walmart looks at that?

They don't penalize/reward if you have worked for a dedicated carrier. They simply look at a candidates qualifications when it comes to hiring.

    ZhenyaP1991 Thanks this.

It's more then a uniform with your name on it. It's a family and different culture here. And quite honestly you would probably about double your pay if your driving for a company pulling for us. Best of luck to you.

Guess it depends on what's available where you live. I got an HMO. My TOTAL cost for my benefits is $700/month, which includes the HMO with only $1,000 deductible, dental, vision, max life insurance (million on me, 100k on wife, 10k each kid), and all the disability insurances. I'm really happy with the benefits I have. It was the right move for me.

Is the life insurance we purchased term or is it as long as we're employed here?

Both. Best answer I can give. I believe you could continue if you paid the whole premium out of pocket if you were to no longer work here. That's a question better suited for the HR person though. I don't want to give you bad or incorrect info.

The HMO used to be offered here. Since the costs kept going up due to ObamaCare, they partnered with Banner to offer us the Banner Plan, which is much lower cost than the HMO was. The deductibles are higher, but the actual insurance / copays are pretty much the same. The difference being, you have to use Banner hospital, doctors, and Walmart or Sams for prescriptions.

This was the first time, since OC started, that our health insurance cost went down.

Every minute I stay in this room, I get weaker, and every minute Charlie squats in the bush, he gets stronger. Each time I looked around the walls moved in a little tighter.
