    How so?
Drop and hook is not that hard unless you're slamming into the trailer I guess.
$500/day is not a good business model..UNLESS you have a paid off truck I suppose.
Even then I still wouldn't do it.
You have limited time to do your job(hours in a day and years to work)..why not maximize your profits.
I want to be home as much as possible as well.
But between the time I leave and head back in..I burn my hours and abuse my body(according to you).

Revenue is key..taking the easy route isn't always the best way.
    To each his own..

Smh you boys are very naive... Ofcourse the number is exaggerated but it would be more than alot... Drivers have people watching the board for them.. That's why you're always crying because you were too slow and another driver beat you to a load @freightwipper ... All these stay at home mom's or etc more than alot of the drivers who been here a long time in guarantee have a second pair of eyes.. This is from talking to countless drivers here in 5 years. But hey what do i know

I've got 2 people looking for me, one is pretty much constant the other is for when person #1 is busy or away from the board.

To say 80% would leave if we couldnt book loads while on our drive line is pretty silly lol.
No doubt its smart to have eyes watching for you but lets not go crazy with the claims

See that's the rub. They're not all drops, and most of them have a full day on them or so, so you can't stack them and keep running. That's what keeps me in the 1.25 range give or take .10.

I've done both. When I want to be home weekends I'll bust ### and run short stuff and stack the revenue, but you're right. By the time the week ends I'm completely whooped. I feel like a local driver tearing around trying to get all those loads in so I can head home on Friday. Definitely something to be said for a nice casual 400-500 mile run.

This feels like the paper log vs ELog debate. Paper loggers are crying like babies they have follow the rules here soon, and ELoggers are waiving pom poms just waiting for the mandate. Would be the other way around if Eloggers had paper and vice versa. Same thing with the 2nd and 3rd pair of eyes. Wouldn't be a big deal if everyone could do it. Seriously puts the IC's that only can look when they stop the truck at a humongous disadvantage. I have the same issue at my company as I compete with planners planning company trucks.
