Each state has own licensing requirements too. In Ohio private property you do need one but I believe you are right since the state is stocking it

$10 bucks for a one day permit in any state, get it at any Walmart. Did it yesterday on 75@ the rock slide. Dropped the trailer at the Pilot, went around the corner, got licence and worms, Bob tailed to the lake. Met other fishermen, was gifted a bucket of minners cause the worms would never work this time of year, got invited onto a boat, caught bass and trout all day. Got invited to a home for a real dinner and only spent $15 bucks.

Gotta love those kinds of folks. I was working down around Matagorda Bay in Texas one time and crashing in the bed and breakfast instead of the roach motel. The first night there I was invited to go sailing with the owners in their sail boat. Way cool if you have never done it before. Then it got better. The second night they asked if I wanted to go out on the catamaran with them. Now those things will fly across the water.

A man just needs to get his lazy ### out of the truck and meet the locals. Believe it or not, we are still hero's in the minds eye of many people. Every where you go, no matter what part of the nation, 2 minutes of the interstate it's a different world. AND YOU DO HAVE TIME FOR IT.
dunchues and stayinback Thank this. -
I saw a portable electronic sign today. I15 north of Helena MT just before you enter the Wolf Creek canyon and it read "Thank You Truck Drivers for Driving Safely" the state put that up there.

90% of the driver's out here don't do ttr or even the Internet's.... The other 10% that do, 9% of them are unhappy lonely effers that are too lazy to go do something so they come here to complain.
That 1% that are real and getting it done though, great bunch of drivers. -
the price may vary by state, I've paid a tad more then that. $24.00 for a weekend permit in Montana anywhere in the state. legally open to anglers
