Not much to report on today. We are supposed to talk friday about staying. I am giving them a few days to work out a psrking spot. I'm leaning on staying here, but not leaning too hard that way.
G13Tomcat Thanks this. -
The more I find out about the new position at my current carrier the more I am not interested. I still have to talk with my ops director in the morning, but I am probably going to go ahead and go with the other company. The other company is what I'd consider a small to med size company. I beleive they have between 80 and 100 power units hauling haz mat and non hazmat tanks. I called this morning and talked to the vp and let him know I would be coming over there in a couple weeks. Really does seem to be a "family" type of atmosphere. We will see.

That's the kind of place I work for; smaller but big enough. Love it. Mi Familia atmosphere. And yes, tanks. Are you gonna be local? Regional? Dedicated? OTR? Hard telling with tanks; hauling asphalt I'm somewhere between dedicated and regional, and didn't have to pull too many OS/OD in the off-time (thank God, i've posted about that in a few places) as it's just not "for me.." and the United Precast yard I pulled from was a "fiasco" as another poster put it!
What are you gonna BE hauling at your new gig? Asphalt is awesome, and yes its mostly non-haz, but not always, depending on the various products out of (or into) Shelly Company. Ever hear of them, up in Toledo at the port? They actually have a small fleet of drivers themselves, but broker/contract most out. Awesome company, but too far from home, for me! I love my new Sealy mattress too much to go back OTR, did my time back in the day, LoL!BACON XXL Thanks this. -
I will be regional out of Cincinnati terminal. The company is out of Toledo. K-ltd is the company. I dint know a lot about them. I looked on here but no one had info up. I may have to do a day by day review. It may be good to and maybe I will get some good input on things to help me out since this really will be my first taste of anything outside of OH KY IN MI. I have run for 16 years.

Sounds like it might be a really good gig, and with your background, you can MAKE it be! Good luck, driver; keep us (me) posted. Day to day review would be cool, since they aren't on here (or anywhere.)
I checked out their website, and it seems pretty impressive. Sometimes "no news is good news" . . . !BACON XXL Thanks this.
