The 74 IH had that exact same engine!! Big GMC roots blower,.. 2 stroke diesel that sounded like it was screaming and ready to blow up just to get into its power band. Used gallons of oil every day. Mine had a jake brake and sounded like a fire truck when you use it. I was 20 yrs old when I first ran that truck. Talk about bringing back some good memories!

This is a picture of my back porch right now. (anyone need 8v92 parts?)
I just talked to the driver that is delivering it. He said he is having trouble getting in and out of truck stops because someone is always stopping him to look at my truck. He tells me it's in much better condition than I thought. I might be forced to restore it and look for another truck for the chop and drop hot rod project.
