    Interesting day today.

Left an hour late, because the slowest linehaul drone in our terminal had a guaranteed shipment for me. :banghead:

Add to that, 18 drops. Two were bad collects. One of those wound up coming back. One went to a beauty store. Another to a mall. Mall deliveries are always fun.

Forget Mall Deliveries I've wasted more time at Malls if you don't know where to go your screwed.

Probably the worst two things with P&D LTL. I didn't have to do a lot of either one, but I did some of both. How about the beauty store IN the mall...

Fortunately the one I went to today has paper maps available at the directory kiosks. No doubt I grabbed one.

As I heard Rod Steiger say in a movie once, forewarned is forearmed. :)

Same exact scenario for me today, but due to a breakdown that delayed the linehaul driver. And of course the guaranteed shipment was in the nose (of a long box)!

    Mike2633 Thanks this.

I'd love to know what we picked up yesterday that had a $195,000 declared value on the BOL.

Somebody probably got fired over that one, and deservedly so. Our limit is $5.00 a pound.

Nothing like having 15 drops and 2 pickups done by 3:00, and finishing 140 miles from the yard. Life is good. :D

    Lefty1 and Mike2633 Thank this.

I shudder to think how tomorrow is going to go.

The driver who pulls out of the door next to mine called out at the last minute today.

    So his whole load sat.

Plus, we have more freight going to our areas than they can stuff in the trailers as it is, WITHOUT a whole load sitting for a day.

Time to call the temp agency.
