Does anyone by chance know of current companies that DO NOT HAIR TEST. I used to smoke a couple months ago but have quit since getting my class a Cdl. I still do not want to risk anything and find a company that urine test instead of a hair test. I have read all over the Internet that almost every major trucking company now hair test. Someone please shine some light on this so I can figure out the best option for myself

It only takes three months for that to work out of your hair. Some like to say it's a year but hair samples are only taken from new undying hair still embedded within your scalp.

Your best option is to wait. Seriously a bummer to spend all that money on schooling to never be able to get a job. By the way, any company you hire on at you can ask them what kind of drug test they do before you attend orientation. They all clearly state they do one and it doesn't hurt you to ask. Good luck, and embrace your future and stay away from that stuff if you want to make decent money!

you cant wash anything out of your hair it is locked into your follicle. How do I know? Its because I tried it but it didn't work (Applied for a sales job NOT driving) that was years ago when I used coke. just do your research and youll see. DOT doesn't recognize the hair test. Colorado sold 88 million dollars in weed last month. that is a lot of buds!

If your that worried go to a store buy a home test kit and find out. Never put yourself in that situation again.

You can go get a "hair" test for under a 100.00 bucks...then you know your ok...personally I dont think that ine time would show...but I would want to know. Schneider way way better than the blue screw IMO

    Oh dear.
Marijuana is not for people to experiment with when they know it can mess up their career. Your anxieties and paranoia already existed, and the drug just amplified them.

Now, you have the dubious task of finding a grungy outlaw trucking company that does not do a background check and probably pays less than minimum wage. Then just avoid accidents and incidents, so the DOT doesn't drug test you.

    OR!

You wait until you test clean. That's the smart move. You can use the drug store tests until you pass, then, schedule your own personal lab test (Not a DOT test) and get to work. Remember your mistake and know that no means no when you know you know to say no.

Kind of dramatic, no? I mean c'mon- he took a couple hits off a joint once in his life. You now think he's committed himself to a "dubious life of grungy outlaw trucking" jobs for "less than minimum wage"? Wow.

    I dunno. That's a bit much.

Chances are, it won't even. Show up.
