There is many small to medium size trucking companies around that seem to be hiring lately. Craigslist is full of local work...hauling debris or mulch in walking floor or dump trailers. Roll-off dumpster companies are hiring, dump trucks are hiring. Plenty of places to get local experience that would allow other opportunities in the near future.
