The only problem with most of the local work is it don't pay what it should. Some jobs start at 12 bucks an hour! You got to look long and hard to find 15 or 18 per hour from what I see. Contractors seem to be better than trucking companies.

Don't let some company take advantage of you just because English is not your first language -
Just apply at all companies that interest you. Down south Cdl drivers are in good demand. I'm sure they would want a year or more experience but there taking people with less. You may need to work in class b straight trucks or landscapers, plumbers, electricians...many have class a jobs pulling equipment with small dump trucks to get experience.

A diplomat is a high ranking government official, while a diploma is a piece of paper from a school showing that you graduated.
