This one says "unmuffled". if your truck has a muffler, you can still use an engine brake.

and "technically" if the sign says no jake brake, unless your engine brake is manufactured by jacobs, you could fight it. jake brake is a trademark, from a specific company, not a type of braking system.

Turn off autocorrect on your tablet. It corrects the password into two words and capitalizes the first one. Thus no entry.

    Abilene Motor Express -#1 choice
Calex Logistics - vans & reefers & flatbed
    NFI

Abilene would be my first choice.

I wonder why they even bothered putting in a on and off switch. obviously there's no point to it.

Turn it on and tell him if he reaches for it you'll snap his wrist. I'm not kidding. If he wants to play that game dump yourself at the next truckstop, call dispatch and tell them to eat ####.

that's so darn professional you'd be dropped off and looking for another.job, threats of or the act of physical violence don't work in the environment.

best check with said companies first and bounce til you find one you like

Sorry about your quandry, OP. That really does suck; You are supposed to be learning, at this point...not having the Fear of God put into you so soon! Did you say your trainer only has 6 months experience? Total? Or did i mis read that. I've never heard of not being "allowed" to jake down a hill, or otherwise, unless there are signs posted, as @dca mentioned.
@Chinatown gave you two really good lists, however. Hopefully something there will work out for you!
Any reason you wouldn't want to go with tankers, btw? Better money, less work. Pretty sure he used to haul those, also. You're not always out as long with tanks, as well.
I have mucho respect for those flatbed guys but it's just too much for this "older" guy. I've done it in the off-season, and man, what a work out. Those OS/OD loads are no fun going into the city with.
I've heard good stuff about Abilene for dry, however. As he said, check them out. Just bide your time with this place and hang in there, driver! You've gotten some good answers here, above.

ps: any way to request another trainer?
