personally, I like driving at 60.......no stress, no passing cars or trucks, just watching the world go by. That said, it's nice to have the ability to drive as fast as I want to when I need to.
As to MPG, I'm sure that 60 mph does better than 70 mph, but honestly, it's mostly the things you can't control, (wind and terrain) that have the biggest impact. I say let everybody drive their truck the way they want to and move on.
And I know Whipper said to drop it, but I just gotta say one thing about Trump.......he may not be the best or worst president we ever had, but it will be entertaining as hell for 4 years.......jus' sayin'.....LOL

Why should we not put the same tariffs on others countries that they put on the goods we export to them?? I.e., if China wants to put a 10% tariff on our goods, why should we not put a 10% on theirs??

The only thing that tarrifs do is hurt the consumer. They don't hurt the offending country except for decreasing the amount of trade. It's like someone calls you a name and you pointlessly say "I know you are but what am I"

Tarrifs, don't really hurt the consumer, but more so is about protecting the consumer by protecting their ability to earn income which begets a consumer. Its about maintain a balance. We had tarrifs from the 40's through the 80's and that is when the US economy and consumer enjoyed their best growth and the USA was the biggest producer and consuming country..

Is it better to have cheaper product to buy/consume, which will eventually lead to your manufactures moving factories to cheaper labor markets to produce at a lower cost, to sell back to their old employees at a cheaper price, who now have no job or a lower paying job.

So a Tarrif protects employees wages and the US economy - standard or living, or as we have seen since the 80's free trade equals a race to the bottom for the US worker who has to equalize with lower wages in another country or watch their jobs move to the other country.

Look at the cost of the average house in 1980 and today what the average house cost today. Average driver salary in 1980 $33,000 and look it today 35 years later not much more.

Now look at the Mexico or Brazil and see how much more they have grown their economies and wages standard of living from 1980 to today. Why because with NO Tarrif, your US factory job is now in Mexico, Brazil or China paying less to them but much more than they had before and US workers make less or have no job.

In a nut shell we have had a transfer of wealth from the USA to Mexico, Brazil and China and we watch these former Third World Countries now buying up America's biggest and best. Brazil - Budweiser beer, Heinz Ketchup, US largest Beef producer and JBS Carriers.. China - Smithfield Foods US largest Port producer and everything else..

So this is what's good for the consumer. Please explain..
