I have see a YouTube post of a IC who says the same, a load they were watching the rate dropped on it before they booked it.
What's the difference between dropping the rate on a load or not paying the full 65%, ie. taking a percentage of the top as a broker would, before taking another 35%.. It's written and posted in different forums and YouTube post.

Of course the same thing happens at LS, where the agents will cancel you if they find someone else to run it for cheaper. The driver gets F'D everywhere basically, unless you're independent and have contract freight, and even then you can get tossed if someone comes in cheaper.

65% at Landstar? LOLOLOLOLOL! Yeah 65% of whatever is left after the broker took off whatever he wanted off the top.
Percentage barely tell the story.. i hear of Prime drivers pulling a reefer and getting a higher % than is but are running at a lower rate than us!
That shouldn't happen! Higher % and reefer should mean more money in theory right? Well reality is different.
Same thing I'm sure is going on there with Prime skimming things off the top through their brokerage.Last edited: Mar 22, 2016

Even though it's been confirmed each of us ICs can see the same loads as other ICs see.
And loads you can run will get mysteriously canceled all cause there's an effort against the IC.
Okay now I've heard it all.
Lets keep it going, SFI will send secret agents to put nails in your tires, Chocolate syrup in your DEF tank and bleach in your fuel tanks to make it real hard for you to finish paying the truck off.
Oh yes the Evil Trucking empire making sure to repo those trucks!Dominick253 Thanks this. -
It's an old story from the early 2000's.
Some companies would cut the drivers miles towards the end of the lease and make him him default, since it was mileage pay, forced dispatch and the trucks were all finaced through the company.
The trucks themselves were paid off and generating revenue, just from the driver. You had guys paying $800 a week for a 6 year old used truck with 700k on her.
This was long ago and I don't how it would fit SNIs model where you choose your freight. Is like to see 2 drivers sit down with laptops side by side, WITH THE SAME FILTERS ON, and look at load boards. Wouldn't this clear up the so-called "SNI hides certain loads from certain drivers"
Or I could be wrong -
you wouldnt know by reading this thread lately that these were "business" owners posting, alot of whining an bickering lately

Got on the phone with another IC, set a same search and we both saw the exact same loads.
Plus randomly i will speak to other ICs about loads and other topics.
I can look up and find whatever they see i can see too.
This discussion happened eariler and other ICs chimed in confirming the same thing.
Yet the BS theory keeps popping up.
We book our own loads, no dispatcher can make us sit and tell us there's no loads.
The whole "there's no freight" is BS even as a company drivers. There's always freight provided you're not in a dead zone.
I remember one day as a reefer driver.. i woke at 5am up drove maybe 10 miles and delivered.
Next dispatch picked up at 11PM! I was like wtf, called them and beached them out saying i just started my clock and woke now you want me to sit all day and flip my sleep around?
"Theres no freight" "thats the only load in the area" What BS! NOO that load pays a lot so you want me to camp and wait for it lol.Dominick253 and Hegemeister Thank this. -
