That sorta thing happened to me some time ago. I ran around blamin the shipper. I told him to wrap it, but he conveniently spoke no English that evenin. So NOW nothin goes on the trailer til I approve it. I've wrapped many a pallet myself in order to avoid this quandary. Preloaded, pre sealed its most definitely on them tho. Alas, my life is live loads.

Bumped the dock a while ago, it was wrapped (sort of--weak job but wrapped). I thought it was. But, when I got the trailer open, the skid marks showed the pallets slid a good two feet. I had them strapped in back but no way of seeing any gaps towards the front.

Receiver is assessing the damage now. Should be about an hour.

Don't feel bad, back in the early 90's when I was a beer hauler, there was a driver that had a load of beer on and was going through a intersection ,had a green light and a car ran a red light and he locked up his brakes and the entire load went through the 8 ft. bulkhead and blew out the entire nose of the trailer, there was Miller beer all over the road, it was one heck of a mess.

Turned out just 11 broken bottles. But a big mess.

Receiver took it all off and wrote up the broken bottles. My Preplan got rescheduled and I have another one headed to Jacksonville FL.

Due in Hickory NC Monday to drop off The Hot Chick. Then I'm a bachelor for a month.

When I told him it was peach vodka the Claims guy said, "And you're in Atlanta? Run, man, run!"

depends how they get their flavor. I had some from a winery in Colorado who used plums. It had a very smooth chocolate flavor. I also had some from the Crator lake region that was aged in new oak barrels. It had a subtle vanilla flavor.

    TB John Thanks this.
