Excellent app! I started using it hauling piggybacks for Coldiron. I currently do drop and hooks for Chep Pallet and they absolutely loved it when I was turning in my logs via KeepTrucking. Information that never changes is entered the next day automatically. Your ending mileage becomes the starting mileage the following day. It makes you aware if you are in an illegal status and gives you he opportunity to fix it before sending it to your company. It only saves the last 2 weeks via the app. Prior days will have to be accessed on line. You only have to sign your name one time and when you click the sign tab it is automatically signed by you. I told the DOT man the other day that my log was on my phone and he asked to see it. He immediately knew how to access all info and was satisfied with what he found. Great App! And it's free!

If I were to run it I would get a cheap Ipad mini or something just for the app. I am not handing anyone my phone especially the cops. Way too much personal info in there. What if you hand your phone to the cops and they take it back to their car and start snooping around? What if there is a text message sent during time your log shows you driving? I don't text while driving but I do when stopped at a red light. Still probably illegal but not unsafe in my eyes.

Good idea. My app's on my company phone and I really could care less if someone browsed through it. Everything on it is strictly business related.

    scottlav46 Thanks this.

They only look at it in your presence. They need a warrant to examine your phone other than the logs

What did someone else here say a while back... if you aren't paying for the product, you ARE the product?

Every time I have given my logbook to an officer he doesn't stand there and look at it he takes it back to his car. Wonder why he would do any different with a phone. Maybe they do I don't know.

Regarding the warrant they can't search your phone without a warrant but if you hand it to them I think that might be giving up your rights. Kind of like they can't search your trunk of the car without a warrant unless you let them.

Best advice would be to ask an attorney.

How do you add breaks on this app?

If you're trying to add in a break in the past during the current day, tap the graph area, then tap the "+" on the bottom RH corner, then select "Insert Past Duty Status." You can then add in a change of duty status by dragging the black lines on the graph to select the time period you want to change. Make note of your location though as it erases the location on the duty status following your break for some reason and it will need to be re-entered.
