I just got home 5 hours ago. Taking a week off. Got by the house 4-5 times since pulling my first load 2/22. Haven't done or needed a reset since starting and probably would still be working if I didn't have my second grandchild on the way. Doing as well financially as the OO only company I was at with a lot less stress. I do west 11 here.

West coast freight is ok. Pays good to excellent coming out of SoCal, not so decent coming back. I figured a few things out to help the averages and have done well doing it.

I cleared about $1500 running the east this week, I couldn't even do that with the last company. There's a lot of opportunity over here at interstate. I have already found a good productive lane to run that pays.

What's your $gross and total miles for the week please; you gross more in East or West...or maybe too early to tell?

I won't get into my numbers on a board. I came from Landstar. For me it was about less stress. I did fine financially there and I'm making as much here and it's still relatively slow. I run west11 and can't wait until it actually gets busy. I don't care about the miles. My concern relates more to total revenue monthly, quarterly or yearly. Obviously revenue relates to miles, but I don't really think in those terms. I can tell you I'm putting less miles on my truck here than at Landstar and making about the same overall.

I am not saying Landstar isn't a good company, but for me, I like this one better. If you talk to the good ole boys at Landstar, they'll tell you how great it used to be and things are changing in a hurry there. I think today, they don't live up to the reputation they once were and are just another average company. This is just my opinion.

I will also tell you, you will not be treated with more respect anywhere else than you will be here. No matter who you talk to at this company, they actually seem to give a crap. This is my impression. I did have a problem at one of their shops and almost left with my truck. It was taken care of and I'm glad I didn't leave. There's only a few reasons I'll leave here at this point and would be personal or maybe taking my business to another level, but for now, I'm smiling all the way to the bank.

Just wondering about the board for freedom dispatch. How many loads are there to choose from on average and can you see loads all over the US? Is it pretty easy to string loads together to gross around 4-5000$ a week? Do you have to commit to a certain area of the US like eastern 11 or could one hop around? Thank you for any insight.

Info I've gotten from recruiter is you can do western 11, and i believe it pays a little bit better, percentage wise. The board only shows loads a max of 3 days out.

I think that has happen from the top down because I know your CEO and he is a great guy. He was my division manager when I first started at Knight. When everyone else told you I don't care you've been out 2 months your still going east I could give him a call and bang, get a load from OK all the way home to the walmart DC 30 minutes from my house.

    rachi and thaistick Thank this.
