Have to agree with the above....... you should have probably $3-5000 in cash saved in reserve. You might think getting a new truck with a warranty will be a cure all to zero cash on hand. But we too quickly forget that accidents and #### happens. You could run over some trash in the road and puncture 3 tires, you could have a breakdown and shop takes 10 days to do warranty work because they are so backed up. Regardless, you are still got a truck payment, insurance, etc plus any home bills. It doesn't take much to put someone out of business when they don't have any cash.
And from I've heard, Interstate is not a company that is going to help you out with truck repairs unlike some other companies that do...... Just sayin.

You are right about the no help for repairs here. They expect you to have the money for repairs. They offer a maintenance account for you to save money for this purpose. I don't use it.thaistick Thanks this. -

Another plus is I can take my truck anywhere, including getting my own authority. The other leasing companies will only allow you to take the truck to authorized companies. I think Quality has a list of about 50.thaistick Thanks this. -
I for one, like this option. While it doesn't allow the ownership of a vehicle at the end of the term. But, I continue to have the full tax deduction of the lease payment, and I never have to worry about maintenance and I always have a new truck.
I am aware that some people think this is crazy, but to each their own. I like the peace of mind it provides. -
Interesting replies.
Thanks guys. -
"... and that's all you'll see on the board."
^^^I wanna say "whoa" to that because I'd like to be able to plan out a little further than that, but I guess people are making it work. -
It actually does work and when I started here I kind of felt the same way. It doesn't take to long to figure out where the freight will be or how far you may have to deadhead from where you'll be. I just kind of stopped worrying about it.
NoobiDriver and thaistick Thank this. -
