Enjoy your 6 month wait. Then trump gets elected and he puts the trade smack down on China and Mexico. Good bye truckload rates.

Based on the info on here yes, generally speaking there is a long wait. Going back to last October when Walmart stock dropped 10% in one day, it was indicative of the freight market to come.

I haven't seen the load board rates lately since I left last August but based on comments here the market is quite saturated right now. They aren't in much of a hurry to bring new people in considering the current market conditions, and I'm not quite sure how smart it is to commit to $1150 weekly payments right now

12 lease trucks last week in Charlotte, and 14 this week in the orientation lot. Not sure if I believe the hype, looks like they are still bringing on alot of new L/O's on every week still.

Fellow and want to BE IC'S we all know the gravey has gone away...as many of you know I started Oct 12, 2015...its called work...out of the 6 of us 3 are left...we all talk on guy does 450 to 600 take home and lives in OHIO he was a company driver...to him its great paying the truck off and being home almost every day blah blah blah
Myself I live in Denver its murder leaving here I have gone as low as .90 to leave...I have spent 2000.00 on plane tickets to come home because my truck is in a hot market..the other guy lives in VA does well but its WORK...you can still bring home 1800 to 2400 a week after all expenses but you have to be smart. You have to plan....for those of you that want to be us...read the entire tread...read DFO's stuff all of it....company driver to IC leased to buying his own....thats the answers.

    Be Safe Out There
