Sometimes I feel like a dick for recommending his work since for every 10 guys that shoot him a message he only seems to respond to maybe one or two of them. He gets lots of spam in his inbox and he doesn't like to take the time to scroll through everything sometimes it takes me calling him and pushing his buttons to get him to look through stuff to respond to somebody
Ougigoug and Evvy Thomas Thank this. -
You are not the dick you are just really impressed with his expertise as a technician, unfortunately endorsing his work you become the messenger for the dick.
davew48, darthanubis, Ougigoug and 1 other person Thank this. -
I appreciate your help. I'm shipping the 98 to him Saturday.

Its not my radio but I would just leave it alone, you just got it hooked up, and hope nothing happens to it shipping here and there. When its all said and done your totally bill is going to be around 600.00 bucks, not thats it my concern, good luck, I guess the 29 is back in line.
darthanubis Thanks this. -
There is more to it, i don't know what it is but there is something else.
When he answer me back with his business email asking me to contact through FB i mean c'mon wtf we already are in touch.
Anyway that's his business he could conduct it the way he want....and i am a customer and could choose to spend and recommend any way i want.darthanubis Thanks this. -
I just hate to see something happen to evvy's new radio during shipping, remember the pic he shared with us showing us his 70.00 attenna and what UPS did to it, no thanks.
darthanubis and Ougigoug Thank this. -
Mark's not exactly overflowing with people skills but his technical expertise makes up for what he lacks in people skills
Hammerdowntrucker, Ougigoug, bullhaulerswife and 2 others Thank this. -
I talked to him on the radio when he was in Naples Florida, I was heading down to Miami, and we talked for a couple of minutes, I remember asking him when he left Amarillo because that was the last place I remember hearing him, he seemed like a real decent guy, I guess having not meeting him in person I should not pass judgement, its just dissapointing, with all the crappy shops out here at our disposal, he comes highly recommended, by you especially, but its so difficult to take advantage of his expertise, the crappy shops you can axcess day or night no appointment necessary, give them 50.00 bucks and say " here please f### up this perfectly good radio, but since reading thread back in December titled Peak and Tune Myth Ive just been keeping my radios stock, its too bad that post was followed up with 5 or more pages of arguments between the Hams and the CBers ( boys will boys) because it was pretty informative.
darthanubis, rabbiporkchop and Ougigoug Thank this. -
He's a very friendly person on the radio.
He's also very friendly once you get to know him but he's standoffish if he hasn't gotten to know you yet. He really enjoys talking on the radio because he knows precisely how his radio sounds and how it works but he's not arrogant on the radio.
He enjoys hearing his customers on the airwavesHammerdowntrucker and darthanubis Thank this.
