Egr leaks air

    i have a Volvo d12 2007 and I have an exhaust air leak around the egr valves but only when truck is in neutral. Then when I press on the gas pedal or I am in gear the noise stops any one have any ideas what the problem could be ?

    Check the clamps and tighten them if they need it. The other spot I've had was the two U shaped pipes coming off the egr valves, one of mine developed a crack on the back side, I left it too long and it completely cracked leaving the truck undriveable due to exhaust leaking in to the cab

    I will b working on it more today do u know if they have any kind of gaskets on them. Thanks for the reply

    I checked the front egr valve and it is the one leaking I'm gonna attempt to put a new gasket on it hopefully it fixes the problem. Thank u very much for ur advice it was really helpful
