Did you talk to your shop steward? Ask the union for a transfer over to anouther UPS Freight terminal around the Phoenix area, or if they can help you find a anouther job.

I'm sure you know you'll lose your seniority, but I think your pay rate stays the same. And don't forget to file a withdrawal card, otherwise you'll still have to pay union dues.

And by the way, I know this is a silly question, but do you guys get to keep your beards? I know when I worked for UPSF, we were allowed to keep our beards, unlike UPS parcel, because of when UPS bought out Overnight, their drivers didn't have to abide by this policy, so their was no point in enforcing it.

 

I always thought that was a silly policy. Most UPS drivers look like cops. And have no sense of humor (much like actual cops)!
