Now I know 99% of trucking companies don't run credit checks, but Coca Cola does..
I received an offer after my interview for a bulk driver. Secretary had me fill out paperwork regarding background and credit check.. I didn't really think about it until later on.
My credit is bad due to student loans (I'm a bit behind on payments) so I checked my score today and it's at 572.... Yea it's bad...
I'm worried that they're gonna pull their offer because I read on glass door of a guy with bad credit who had his offer retracted...
What do u guys think??
Anyone been denied employment for having bad credit??

Seriously tho, how are you on your revolving and fixed debt? Usually medical and student loans aren't looked at the same.

Can we stick to the question I asked, instead of derailing this into another direction..

It was an actual credit check to check your fico? Usually they run a fair credit act thing that's not your credit score
-
But I did pull up my credit, and didn't see anything about someone inquiring my credit.. But maybe they haven't already... -
In some states an employer cannot access your credit info. They can get some of the info from your credit report like previous addresses and whether or not you have nipple piercings. -
I don't see the reason to deny a truck driver based on credit... Hopefully it won't be the case
